The Strategic Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in investigating business potential for Interroll and subsequently develop business for Interroll in specific market segments or industries.
This involves fostering relationships with key stakeholders, enhancing Interroll's brand recognition as a leading supplier, and identifying opportunities to drive business growth.
Responsibilities include networking within the industry, executing targeted marketing plans in collaboration with the marketing team, and developing strategic account plans to capitalize on growth opportunities.
The Manager also analyses market trends, customer data, and industry needs to provide insights for the match of Interroll Products portfolio to specific industries and identify opportunities for product enhancements and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vertical Management: Develop and execute a tailored business development strategy for the Automotive (EV) sectors. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within each vertical. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners in each industry.
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the verticals. Propose and develop new business models, product adaptations, or solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each sector.
- Partnership & Relationship Management: Forge strategic alliances with key players in the Automotive (EV) industries to drive mutual growth. Develop long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create customized solutions and sales strategies for each vertical. Ensure alignment between business development initiatives and the company’s overall sales objectives.
- Business Planning & Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts and reports on revenue growth, market share, and new business development activities for each vertical. Develop business cases for potential new ventures or partnerships.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage key projects within each vertical from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budget, and objectives are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of vertical-specific solutions.
- Innovation & Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D and product development teams to innovate and refine products/services to meet the unique needs of the Automotive (EV) sectors.
- Reporting & KPI Tracking: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, ensuring goals are met for each vertical. Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus). - Proven experience in business development, with a focus on Automotive (EV). - Strong knowledge of industry trends and challenges within the verticals. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. - Strong analytical skills, business acumen.
