JOB MISSION - Full merchandising accountabilities for assigned categories and brands for all the business channels including Retail, EC, wholesale etc. - Develop assortment and promotional planning strategies - Manage vendor relations and cost negotiation to meet financial targets and improve the business P&L.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Build monthly / seasonal product strategies including SKU and style plan, target retail margins. - Manage markup and profit margins, as well as seasonal markdown strategies - Formulate assortment, stock allocation and inventory management strategies, that is consistent with overall business strategy. - Defines and leads the development and execution of the key business drivers (key brands, items and stores) - Drive and execute the brands’ floor space planning and allocation for all key locations. - Determine seasonal transition strategies, develop brand exclusives, promotional and sampling strategies - Deliver sales, gross margin and turnover goals for assigned business segment - Identify and develop emerging brands for the core customers, and maximize key brands value proposition for our customers - Acquire and build strong partnerships with principals and vendors. PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree or above, minimum 8 years working experience in retail/grocery/apparel/fast consuming goods/luxury/consumer durables industries, buying experience is a must. - Minimum 3 years’ experience on team management & talent development. - Fluency in English and Mandarin (Italian is a plus) - Strong sensitivity to fashion and market trends - Proven ability in communication, convincing and motivating - Professional presentation skills and good command of computer skills - Able to travel frequently and handle heavy work load
