Category Manager
85 Job Descriptions:
1. Follow up orders with vendors, customers (US headquarter), and internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
2. Understand the customer needs and requirements, develop an effective sourcing strategy. Source and qualifify new new vendors when needed, demestically and overseas.
3. Arrange sample submission to customers for approval.
4. Assist in the product development process and bulk production to ensure that products meet customers’ quality and budget requirements. Negotiate with the vendors and get competitive costs.
5. Maintain strong business relationships with vendors for product development and bulk production.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
7. Assist in product development and bulk production with factory mills. Maintain up to date mill history and capability.
8. Build and maintain a strong local and regional vendor network to meet customers’ current and future business needs.
9. Provide solutions and support to ensure smooth production and manufacturing process.
10. Monitor the order status, such as inspection and shipment.
11. Work closely with the colleagues from other departments (logistic, QC and etc.) to ensure the orders are shipped on time with acceptable quality level.
12. Production Control and Order follow-up.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
85 Requirements:
1. Bachelor or above in related field.
2. Minimum 3 years' relevant experiences in similar position/role.
3. Good experienced on hardline area and US Market. knowledge on the hard line items (mainly home improvement related and tools) out of all sort of material, like cabinet hardware, kitchen ware, plumbing, bath hardware, kitchen/bathroom cabinets, lighting/ceiling fans, locksets, barndoor hardware, doors, flooring and so on.
4. Strong product knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development process.
5. Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded.
6. Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
7. Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills, able to meet deadlines.
8. Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
9. Skilled in Microsoft office programs.
10. Travel is acceptable.
