JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Global Security - APAC, the Greater China Regional Senior Security Manager (SSM) oversees all security operations across Greater China, including security for events, studio and TV productions, asset and content protection, investigative support, travel, security technology, and incident monitoring. This role requires strategic, analytical expertise in risk assessment, security planning, and emergency response. The SSM collaborates closely with Disney's Global Security teams, APAC business units, third-party security providers, and law enforcement, managing security risks and responding to incidents to ensure safety and compliance. Regular travel within the region is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 61 Identify and mitigate security risks, implementing programs to protect employees, assets, and business operations from threats including theft, vandalism, and emergencies. 61 Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard intellectual property, facilities, and operations. 61 Monitor threat levels and advise on security adjustments as needed. 61 Manage the site Business Assurance (BA) program, addressing control weaknesses through remediation measures. 61 Support regional security systems projects in partnership with the Technical Security SSM. 61 Develop and execute customized incident management (IM) and emergency response (EM) plans for each site. 61 Facilitate regular training and preparedness exercises with APAC Risk and Crisis Response teams. 61 Oversee the Disney Alerts system to enhance employee awareness and accountability. 61 Track and analyze trends in asset loss, leading efforts to prevent future incidents. 61 Build and maintain a network of resources for regional risk assessment, investigations, intelligence gathering, and security system enhancements. 61 Coordinate and conduct security investigations across the region, updating management on any security concerns. 61 Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, including country heads, site leaders, and business representatives. 61 Foster professional relationships with local law enforcement, government, and private sector counterparts to support regional security goals. 61 Provide monthly security reports and incident summaries and contribute to the annual security budget. 61 Ensure vendor performance meets contractual standards, recommending improvements as needed.
QUAIFICATIONS 61 Bilingual proficiency in English and local language, with strong written and verbal communication skills. 61 Extensive experience in physical and information security, content security, event risk management, and crisis management. 61 Strong analytical skills in risk assessment and security planning, with proven success in implementing effective control measures. 61 Proven ability to thrive in a matrixed organization, managing multiple stakeholders and projects efficiently. 61 Strong project management skills, including vendor management and SLA/KPI performance tracking. 61 Experience in conducting investigations and tailoring security approaches for diverse client needs. 61 Flexible and adaptable, with a readiness for variable working hours and regional travel. 61 Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional partnerships and navigate cultural diversity. 61 Familiarity with feature film and TV production, post-production workflows, and security requirements is a plus. This role requires a strategic leader adept at translating security goals into actionable plans, leveraging technology, and fostering a collaborative security culture across the region.
