Key Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management. a) Recording financial transactions in SAP: To record financial transactions such as sales, purchases, banking and expenses, fixed assets & balance sheet items. b) Financial Reporting: To prepare the financial statements for management, statutory, auditing and tax reporting in compliance with the relevant accounting standards. c) Financial & Business Analysis: To analyse the financial performance of the business against plan/budget/forecast so as to assist the Business in decision making and communicating business performance with the shareholders. d) Budgeting and Forecasting: To partner with the business in preparing long term plan, annual budget and quarterly forecasts supported with operating data and business input. e) Internal Controls: To establish and monitor internal controls to prevent material errors, fraud and non-compliance. 2. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives and growth plans. 3. Collaborate with other senior executives and stakeholders to make informed decisions on financial matters. 4. Lead the financial team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of budgets, financial statements, and cash flow statements. 5. Assess and manage financial risks, identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement, and develop risk mitigation strategies. 6. Work closely with other departments to ensure effective coordination and communication, providing financial guidance and support as needed. 7. Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements. 8. Provide leadership and mentoring to the financial team to promote professional development and team cohesion. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field. 2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial management, with a track record of success in senior financial roles. 3. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 4. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives, board members, and external auditors. 5. Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws, with the ability to apply them in a practical setting. 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong project management skills. 7. Fluent in English would be an advantage. 8. Ability to provide strategic guidance to the business and translate financial data into actionable insights specific to the logistics industry.
