1. To assist the functional team on preparing functional requirements, develop technical specifications, manage system configuration and coordinate development. IT Product Consultant is the first level of the local IT project delivery or IT product management structure. 2. To develop integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues and plays a major role in the implementation of major systems. 3. To lead demanding IT projects within tight deadlines from concept through the entire software development life-cycle (Define, Requirements, Design, Build, Launch, and Closure). 4. To coordinate and manage the projects using DePICT methodology – a formal set of processes and procedures designed to ensure successful project implementation.
Main Accountabilities:
Impact: 1. Late response to the issues raised by clients of live systems may impact the normal operations that deeply rely on systems. 2. Misunderstanding of client’s requirements will cause reprogramming of the system and increasing relevant rework cost accordingly. 3. The project that loses of an appropriate supervision might not be accomplished in right time with qualified deliverables and its actual cost would likely exceed budget.
Customer/Stakeholder: 1. Participate on integrated IT team dedicated to providing prompt application support as needed to business units. 2. Working closely with the client. Translating client requirements into highly specified brief that we called as Client Requirement Investigation (CRI) 3. Present design to the client and, once approved, work closely with the client team to implement the solution 4. Working closely with coding staff and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. 5. Prepare and coordinate key-user / end-user testing and training.
Problem Complexity / Process: 1. Collect country functional user requirements, analyse problems and recommend solutions 2. Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems. 3. Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems. 4. Obtains rough estimates of the cost of operating and maintaining a proposed new or changed system, assuming use of appropriate technology, tools, and methods. 5. Ensure project delivery in accordance with related processes and procedures, with particular reference to the company’s Project Management Framework (DePICT methodology) and thereby including project structures, controls and governance, change control, risk management, stakeholder communications and reporting. 6. Use the Quality methodology and tool set to manage and enhance project results. 7. Supervising the planning, execution and verification aspects of the whole project. This will include: a. Assists current or potential application users in identifying and describing problems or opportunities that might be addressed either: i)by implementing a new system, or ii) by changing an existing application system. b. Investigate such problems and opportunities to determine the feasibility of system solution and to identify the general kinds of system solution that appear appropriate. c. Analyze users’ business requirements in detail and, where appropriate, prepare functional specifications for a proposed new (or changed) system. d. Assists and guides prospective users of identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability. Such as, i) quantifying the benefits of having the system (or the penalties for not having it), and ii) assessing the impact of the system on their organization and on the operation of their business. e. Obtains rough estimates of the cost of operating and maintaining a proposed new or changed system, assuming use of appropriate technology, tools, and methods. f. Assists the project delivery manager in identifying the skills and resources needed to implement a new system or to modify an existing system, and in preparing rough estimates of: i) the cost of developing or changing the system, ii) the duration of a project to do so. g. Assists the sponsoring users in: i) Analyzing the cost, benefits, risks, and return-on-investment of the proposed new system, ii) understanding the exact nature of the proposed system, iii) deciding whether to proceed with the implementation. h. Prepare, in consultation with users, implementers, and operations representatives, the UAT (or parallel) plan for any new or changed system. i. Assists the users in preparing for the installation and start-up of any new system being implemented. j. Writing user manuals and providing training to users of a new system if necessary. 8. Planning and working flexibly to a deadline. 9. Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met. 10. Keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments. 11. Complete other assigned daily jobs besides above duties.
