Process Engineer ( Base in Feng Xian Plant , Shanghai) General Scope: The Process Engineer provides engineering support including process design, improvement, and troubleshooting for plant. The Process Engineer will also be involved in capital projects and may also serve as the project leader on select projects. Analyses more complex product specifications to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares operation sheets. Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Identify the major, specific end results that the position is responsible for achieving. (Not statements of day-to-day details, duties or responsibilities.) 1. Work closely with plant management to optimize plant processes to achieve operational excellence. 2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting in daily manufacturing. 4. In charge process safety analysis and improvement. 5. Drive continuous improvement of plant manufacturing processes and systems. 6. Assist with creation of standard operating procedures for new and existing equipment and processes as needed. 7. Provide technical support to members of the engineering team. 8. Drive continuous improvement by evaluation of existing operations to reduce safety and environmental risk. 9. Participate in the launch of new products into mass production; define processes, evaluate new equipment/tooling and methods, coordinate between functional groups. 10. Provide appropriate documentation and support when product transits to production. Define manufacturing instructions and other process specifications. 11. Conduct material testing for problem analysis purpose 12. Coordinate with quality department for problem solving. 13. Team competency management in daily HPT practice. 14. Contribute rubber technology to process development and new product launch. 15. Seek to increase productivity and reduce cost and manufacturing cost. 16. Accept other jobs appointed by manager. 61 College degree or above, major in Chemical Engineering or Material Engineering. 61 Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in adhesive industry, preferable in multinational companies. 61 Familiar with polymer formula and processing technology. 61 Good verbal and written competence in both English and Mandarin. 61 A responsible and committed team player with good communication and interaction skills, proactive attitude, self-initiative, can work independently. 61 Lean/Green Belt 61 Good computer application skills.
