The Merchandising Manager role is designed for a production lead responsible for overseeing the production processes of lifestyle brands in Asia, specifically within the Men’s and Women’s Group. Handle end to end product’s development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery. - Manage and control the price negotiation with suppliers, collect market and competitor activities. - Accountable for final order negotiation with the vendors, manage and control order details and requirements to the suppliers/production units. - Guide team for supplier development and supplier briefing, seasonal supplier evaluation and seasonal capacity blocking for production. - Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs placed for business stream to meet all commercial KPIs: OTD, etc. - Guide and manage the sourcing communication for business stream. - Closely follow up on critical path with team and solve problems (if arise) in the process. - Ensure that day-to-day review is made on feedbacks received from team members on various issues including production status and corrective actions are taken in time. - Guide and keep track of team to manage the whole process pre and post order placement ensuring quantity, quality, order specification and delivery dates are achieved. - Help team members find ways to test new ideas efficiently through rapid prototyping and view innovation as a journey that may involve many turns. - Managing the team to achieve business objectives. - New Vendor/factory onboarding training. - SMS allocation - New vendor factory sourcing and development. - Price negotiation - Order management, team production tracking till delivery. - Solve the problems/conflicts between vendor and customer. - Build and maintain vendor network to business needs. - Vendor performance review for optimizing strategical supply chain. - Coaching and people development. - Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Additional Requirements - Experience: Proven working experience in merchandising, with a focus on Production Management. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in email and during conference calls. - Production Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the entire production process, including the ability to follow up on Work in Progress (WIP) and effectively forecast and resolve issues during production, including overseas operations. - Leadership: Strong leadership abilities in managing both local and remote/offshore teams. - Multitasking: Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. - Detail Orientation: Highly detail-oriented and meticulous in approach. - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. - Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
