Responsibilities: 61 Support delivery Lead and Lag Quality measures (4DX) 61 Manage workload and workflow for CSO GM Quality in line with company Critical Path 61 Manage and maintain appropriate resource to support growth in Direct Sourcing 61 Support Recruitment, selection retention and engagement of team members 61 Regularly meet and review with direct report to review progress against identified KPIs 61 Work to achieve continued improvements in level of team engagement scores. 61 Coaching and mentoring action plans to support direct reports to enhance their job performance and career development 61 Maintain a current in-depth knowledge and understanding of NZ product standards and legal requirements and apply knowledge in the processing of specifications & approvals. 61 Sample Evaluation – supports sourcing by evaluating product samples for their fit for use and compliance characteristics. 61 Product Specifications – ensures that all samples proceeding to production are accompanied by a specification based on, or equivalent to, TWG’s product specification template. 61 Compliance documentation – ensures that all required evidence of standards compliance has been reviewed and approved prior to production commencing. 61 Prior to any production order being placed the Quality Technician will have agreed between the Merch and Supplier a Quality Control plan to ensure the product conforms to its original specification and any applicable standards. This plan should reflect the risk and complexity of the product, its value, the capability of the supplier, and the status of the order as per TWG risk Matrix 61 The quality control plan may include any or all below: 1. The evaluation of a preproduction sample 2. A during production inspection or inline inspection (DUPRO)carried out by a TWL Technician, an approved specialist 3rd party inspector, or the factory itself 3. A final random inspection (FRI) of goods immediately before shipping carried out by a TWL Technician, an approved specialist 3rd party inspector, or the factory itself 61 Shipping Approval – The technician supports the approval of the shipment of the product based on a report derived from any of the above sources (as agreed in the QC Plan) indicating conformance to Specification and Standard. 61 Assists as required in the investigation of products with high return rates or customer complaints 61 Provide content for procedural manuals (where appropriate). 61 Identify opportunities to change to improve QA strategy and business performance and make recommendations. 61 Ensure CSO teams are informed and updated where relevant around QA issues 61 Demonstrate Team Model behaviours whilst collaborating with various departments across the business.

Requirements: Minimum 5 years solid experience in managing quality assurance activities in well organized and sizable factories or buying office with multi-national background. Familiar with hardgoods products such as toy, furniture, power tools, gardening, house wear, hardware and electrical consumer products.
1. Bachelor’s degree, major in Mechanical Engineering is a plus. 2. Fluent in English speaking and written. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skill and high sense of responsibility. 4. Good knowledge of factory production method. 5. Good knowledge of inspection standard. 6. Ability to work under pressure. 7. Can travel frequently. 8. Experience with New Zealand and international compliance
