Description of Position: Technology Standardization Management (TSM) is a global technology experts team in charge of Technology Standardization on Component and Raw Material technology for global Schneider Electric, locates in 3 regions (Asia Pacific, North America, Europe). The Electromechanical Technology Standardization Engineer will join the Technology Standardization Management (Asia Pacific Zone) organization and take charge of following electromechanical technologies: Connector, Cable & Wire etc. The TSE will mainly support R&D engineers, Purchasing Team, Quality Team etc. globally on technology standardization, component solution selection proposal, component failure analysis, design guideline, component technology anticipation, supplier technological auditing etc. The TSE will contribute to drive technology strategy and roadmap definition & execution, and the engineer may have to participate national or international business travels to Suppliers, Schneider R&D centers, Manufacturing plants. Responsibilities: - Participate/Lead technology standardization rule definition of electromechanical component selection & application for global Schneider Electric. Promote technical rules and best practices by guidelines or directives etc. - Provide technical support to R&D teams for the electromechanical component selection, application, quality issue and risk analysis etc, furthermore propose risk mitigation plan, alternative solution etc. - Follow the evolutions of supplier offers and technology trend on the market, Prospect suppliers offer and roadmap to identify new solutions for Schneider products. - Cooperate with Global Supply Chain Commodity Team and Contribute to the definition of the global purchasing strategy - Approve new component and Maintain existing ones in Corporate level Standardized Component & Raw Material Database to present technology offer. Requirements: - Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic mechanical, etc. - 5+ years experience as Electromechanical Component Designer, Technical Support Engineer, Field Application Engineer, Component Engineer, Hardware Product Design Engineer etc. Direct comprehensive experience with electromechanical connector is must. - Solid knowledge on electromechanical component technology in terms of design selection, characteristic, application, failure analysis, manufacturing process, worldwide market, technology trend etc. - Excellent communications skills, including written and spoken English, ability to work efficiently as part of a worldwide and international team - Proactive approach to achieve objectives and to solve problems.
