Job Description – Automotive Business Development Manager As an Automotive Business Development Manager you will build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with automotive Tier1 customers, OEMs and Chip set suppliers. In this position, you will gather market and customer needs, and provide marketing requirement documents to Automotive market segment team and other Embedded Business Unit functions. In addition, you will be the representative of the Automotive Segment Marketing organization in front of our customers and work hand-in-hand with Micron’s field resources (Sales, FAE, FQE etc.). You will support East China customers mainly such as NIO, Zeekr, eCarx, Geely etc. and also cover South Asia region, to collaborate with local BDM/Sales to explore India and Vietnam market.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Analyzing market, competitive, sales and customer data to drive account/region plans and strategies. · Prepares the annual Business Development Plan for your region and the focus customers. Align this plan with your partner in Sales and FAE. Develop and deliver the customer business plans through carrying out research, formulate market analysis (TAM/SAM) and deliver accurate business reports. · Increase the company’s involvement with existing customers and identify new/emerging customers. · Definition and execution of yearly and long-term targets and objectives. · Develop strategies for new product opportunities and services. Provide product related requirements to Auto Product Line Management and System Architect Team. · Determine new opportunities by analyzing business needs. · Execute the Automotive Segment strategies and provide a quarterly review of your region. · Develop and manage customer communication tools such as the automotive roadmaps, presentations and technology migration plans. · Pro-actively hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those businesses that can benefit from Micron’s automotive products and services. This includes CSV, OEM and cross industry organizations. · Further develop multi-tier relationships to organically grow the customer business. · Build referral and lead generation network. Review Field entries into SFDC and manage design-in pipeline for your region. · Develop together with Strategic Marketing, tools and collateral for existing and new customers. · Forecast long and short-range market potential in your region.
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have:
· At least 6 years of Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, FAE working experience in Memory industry or Automotive Products-related industry · Familiarity with memory market, product technologies, & competitors · In-depth knowledge of semiconductor industry ecosystem/supply chain landscape/design-in process. · Strong customer engagement and customer negotiation skills. Demonstrates ability to drive business growth in competitive environment. · Proven record and/or working experience in multi-national company. Demonstrates ability to solve complex problems across multi-functional teams, and/or multi-regional teams. · Strong communication skills. Ability to discuss business and technical details with customers and uplevel key messages to Senior Management. Able to speak fluently in Chinese and English. · Self-motivated, self-disciplined, ability to complete tasks with minimal management oversight and direction. · Ability to travel on a frequent basis within China region. Occasional travel to rest of Asia.
