Main Responsibility: 61 Handle and manage assigned categories effectively (e.g., work with the OCM and suppliers to mitigate risk of late shipments and drive the container utilization to meet KPIs). 61 Contributes significantly to the volume and growth of responsible categories. 61 Understanding of PO (purchase order) management principles and operation. 61 Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. 61 Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. 61 Supports contract negotiations for capacity, service, and price with ocean, air, and origin services by using specified requirements of import programs;ensuring that amendments or revisions to service agreements are based on cost or requirement changes; and updating internal systems (for example, transits, origins, destinations) when contracts are final. 61 Supports ocean cargo direct imports for Wal-Mart/Sam's Club USA by implementing systems; assisting all retail markets (for example, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, UK) with transport tools; and managing the online global contracting technology (for example, GTNexus) including enhancement requests. Monitors and ensures ocean carrier performance by using defined scorecard metrics to hold them accountable for maintaining standard operating procedures; and creating corrective action plans for substandard performance with ocean carrier partners. Requirements: 61 Proficiency in oral and written English; 61 Minimum Qualifications 3 years experience in Logistics Management or related field. 61 Bachelor's degree in Logistcis or Business degree or related. 61 Familiarity with industry-specific practices (e.g., export operation to the US retail market). 61 Demonstrates OCM operation background and/or key account management or ocean carrier operation experience. 61 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and improvements. 61 Demonstrates a positive and proactive attitude, showing enthusiasm and commitment to the role and company goals. 61 Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. 61 Ongoing willingness to learn and develop professionally.
