MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
85 Manage the analytical lab, ensuring full and safe functioning of the lab and all equipment; Make sure maintenance and calibration of all equipment are kept to a high standard.
85 Transferring and adapt SOPs to CIC from other technical centres, and where needed develop local SOPs for meet specific local analytical needs; Carry out risk assessment for all our work processes according to Synthomer safety requirements, proactively identify, report on and improve safety related issues
85 Plan and execute analytical project work to develop application and knowledge; prepare analytical reports.
85 Liaise with internal & external contacts as necessary to track and communicate service activity status.
85 Develop and maintain technology expertise and insight in a relevant technical field
85 Have a comprehensive understanding of companies’ products & applications & to be aware of the full range of Synthomer's products.
85 Building a network and providing support and consultancy within wider organisation, e.g., technical, business units, production, etc
85 Provide improvement efficiencies to the laboratory via methodology or instrumentation advancements
85 Act as Quality Manager according to relevant ISO standard where applicable.

REQUIREMENTS:
61 Master’s degree or above in Analytical chemistry, Polymer Science, chemistry, material science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
61 Relevant degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field. Between 5 -10 years relevant experience in analytical or coatings/adhesive environment. especially quantitative analysis of monomers in water-based polymers and VOC are preferrable. Experiences in running Rheology/DMA and identifying the unknown by using multi analytical instrument like DSC, FT-IR, GC-MS, and LC-MS, etc, is a plus. Strong capabilities in analytical method development/validation.
61 Good English in both speaking and writing is required
