JLL has an opportunity for a Procurement Manager to take responsibility for the coordination and management of consultants, contractors, client stakeholders and other vendors for the successful delivery and execution of capital projects for our Client. You’ll need to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, leading from the front while also taking the time to understand their point of view.
You’ll work closely with other stakeholders to establish an effective organizational structure for reporting, communication and working procedures, and ensure that clear objectives and quality control systems are in place for all commercial and procurement activities. You’ll also attend meetings, support tendering activities, coordinate with other stakeholder teams, so an eye for detail and a structured approach to tasks will serve you well. Your expertise will also be central in identifying project risks and mitigating them. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for developing project-related reports, analyses and reviews regularly. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to work in a fast-track environment with a proven record of managing the sourcing process for projects within a similar role QS and/or Project Management background would be beneficial Strong understanding of the fit-out, capital & construction industry, construction methods, and project lifecycles. Understanding operational aspects of mission critical facilities and infrastructure systems will be highly regarded. Identify early warnings and assist with client and project team to suggest and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures Be responsible for cost planning, cost control, procurement management, construction cost management and the associated reporting duties of projects Advise project team on cost effective and value-added works Monitor procurement process including tendering, recommendation, and contract award Develop and maintain the long-term partnership with vendors, manage vendor selection and evaluation, and improvement initiatives Networking with target suppliers, and industry practitioners Collaborate with the Client & the Project Management Team to translate business requirements into time-bound actions Recommend sourcing strategies and e-bidding strategies in the capital projects space Manage complex analyses and share actionable insights Engage independently with project suppliers Perform ad hoc assignments by management You will be results focused with a passion for continuous improvement and able to maintain a high level of client satisfaction with a minimal number of issues arising. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a related Cost or Procurement / Supply Chain Management role Spoken English and Mandarin proficiency Quantity Surveying / Commercial or Construction background preferred Strong understanding of new build construction projects Excellent communication and reporting skills Logical approach and high attention to detail Bachelor's degree, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent preferred
