Main Responsibilities:

61 Through a deep understanding of end-user requirements and testing procedures, determine how Synthomer’s product offerings can enhance adhesive applications and performance, through close customer engagement, to support new business development.
61 Have a deep understanding of the functional attributes of a wide range of polymers, adhesives and tackifier resins materials relevant to Synthomer technologies.
61 Identify needs and opportunities through direct interactions with customers, sales and marketing teams
61 Translate customer needs, ideas and concepts into detailed technical work plans, including safely and effectively execute process chemistry or formulation and applications development, and develop technical solutions
61 Carrying out work in accordance with company Safety and Environmental Policies and ensure SHE compliance in line with relevant internal SHE regulations and all other legal and corporate standards.
61 Run lab work including hot melt adhesives formulating, testing and optimization. Preparation of laboratory work requests and test reports
61 Develop new test method development and prepare SOPs
61 Provide technical support for customer inquiries and complaints.
61 Represent the company at industry events and other forums.
61 Other tasks deemed necessary and assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
61 Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master preferred, in polymer science, chemistry, material science or related disciplines.
61 +5 years’ experience in hotmelt adhesives formulations, preferably in relevant downstream industries, e.g., automotive, packaging, electronic. Experience in PUR adhesives a strong plus.
61 Workable written and oral communication skills in English.
