by FANG is a fashion house originally founded in France by Chinese designer Fang Yang. It is composed of a Couture line and a Ready-to-Wear line developed in the house’s creative centers nowadays based in both Paris and Shanghai. by FANG is currently looking for a Designer to join its International Creative team in Shanghai.


RESPONSABILITIES

1. To play a leading role in by FANG collection process for both Couture and RTW lines (collection research & inspiration, mood board, fabric research, sketching and design frames, sampling process).

2. To make a precise interpretation of by FANG DNA and artistic/marketing guidelines so as to provide relevant design propositions to by FANG’s Creative Director and Head Designer. The position requires solid sketching skills and garment construction knowledge.

3. To participate professionally and efficiently in a clear communication between by FANG Paris and Shanghai based teams (Creative Director, Head Designer, Collection Director, pattern makers and ateliers) as well as connections with the business team.

4. To act as a key creative support to Fang Yang in the implementation of special collaborations, capsules and diffusion lines.


REQUIREMENTS

1. Design education in a top tier international school.

2. Solid 1st experience in a luxury / high-end oriented environment with in-house development teams and ateliers.

3. An artistic driven personality with particularly proficient skills in communicating and illustrating her/his design ideas.

4. English / Mandarin fluent.

5.Seasonal trips to Paris will be a requirement at this position.
