Job Title: Data Center Standardization Manager Location: Johor, Malaysia or Shanghai/Shenzhen, China
Job Overview: The Data Center Standardization Manager is responsible for driving and optimizing the establishment, development, and implementation of standardized delivery processes for data centers. The core objective of this position is to ensure that standards for data centers are followed throughout the design, manufacturing, construction, commission, and delivery phases, thereby enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring consistent product quality. This manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that standardized data center products meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize standardized delivery processes for data centers, covering design, manufacturing, logistics, and construction and T&C to ensure efficiency and reliability. - Work closely with design, product, supply chain, construction, testing, operation and all other teams to ensure smooth delivery of containerized products throughout their lifecycle. - Ensure strict adherence to quality standards in the production and delivery of data center-related products, minimizing defects and rework. - Communicate with customers to understand their needs and ensure that standardized designs meet their technical and operational requirements. - Identify and improve the process control in the delivery to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. - Regularly assess and update the design and delivery standards of data centers, optimizing related processes to adapt to market changes and technological advancements. - Oversee the progress of ongoing data center projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. - Collaborate with suppliers to ensure reliability in the supply chain and timely delivery. - Provide training to internal teams on standardized delivery processes and offer technical support to ensure effective implementation. - Maintain all documentation related to standardization of data centers, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred. - At least 5 years of experience in data center construction or related project management. - Knowledge of modular design and a good understanding of data center project construction and delivery processes. - PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or related project management certifications preferred. - Excellent communication, coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across various projects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying bottlenecks in the delivery process and proposing improvements. - Excellent Command of written & spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of 3rd Asia Language is an advantage.
