Sales Training Manager will be responsible for the design, development and execution of training for the sales organization aligned to the global learning strategy and in support of the China region business needs. This role will work with Global Education, China Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership, Healthcare Compliance and other functional partners to shape and deliver educational programs aimed at on-boarding new sales representatives and elevating the competency of the entire sales organization.
Your Impact
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies: Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Regional Marketing and other functional leaders to develop and implement educational programs in support of business objectives. Apply adult learning principals and professional facilitation skills in all learning programs. Conduct learning in live, virtual and self-guided formats aligned with a blended learning strategy and approach. Ensures that all learning content is current, copy approved and compliant with all government and legal requirements. Facilitates learning clinical, systems, procedural, products, competitive technologies and business practices related to commercial sales roles in the ASP business. Coordinates activities with Field Sales Training to support continuity for the learner in a blended learning model. May or may not have responsibility for oversight and development of direct reports in the Commercial Education function. Work with others to build appropriate and aligned annual or longer-range learning & development plans that will support business partners and other stakeholders in Commercial Operations in achieving their strategic and operating goals, targets and anticipated results. Work collaboratively with marketing and sales leadership to identify, recommend, and where appropriate/approved, implement new, creative, innovative learning & development offerings, techniques or others. Provides field consultation, team and/or individual coaching and development; enabling hands-on learning/development support to the assigned employee/management groups. Support the development, management, and deployment of core curriculum for new hires to the organization. Design (creates agenda and training materials) and facilitate training classes as necessary Regularly assess the performance of the commercial team and seek to identifies regional and national training needs and competency gaps and collaborate to devise a training plan(s) for improvement. Organize, lead, and present virtual and in-person trainings when requested. Measure effectiveness of training programs. Field travel with members of the commercial team to learn about field challenges that can be supported by training as well as provide just in time coaching feedback to field team personnel and their supervisor. Travel to meetings and training classes. Collaborate with Learning & Technology vendors to execute various training initiatives Lead teams, work cross-functionally, and manage deadlines. Manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing needs. Provide meeting (national and regional sales meetings) support as required. Submit all necessary paperwork, including travel itineraries, activity reports, monthly reports and expense reports, as required, accurately and in a timely manner. Manage the training room materials, equipment and consumables supplies. Manage training-related meeting logistics related to lodging, registration, security access, f&b orders. Manage documentation / compliance related to training credentialing for sales team members. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Our Needs
Here’s what we’ll need from you: Bachelor’s Degree or above. Minimum of four (4) years of Capital Sales, Marketing, Central Sterile Processing, High level disinfection and/or Sterilization experience is preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of Medical Device training experience, as a trainer or field trainer is preferred. Educated in adult learning concepts/theories is preferred Expert selling skills is preferred Expertise in project management is preferred Proficiency with PPT and XLS is preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills is required. Demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, while working under pressure and effectively communicating these solutions to sales leadership. General understanding of business policies and practices. Must be a self-starter requiring little supervision. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient computer skills, which must include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. General working knowledge of Internet for business use. Demonstrated ability to positively receive and respond to feedback for improvement and development. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-past, deadline driven environment.
