Job Summary: The Transportation Analyst is responsible for analyzing transportation data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of transportation operations. This role involves collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to develop and implement transportation strategies that meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret transportation data, including route performance, carrier performance, shipping costs, and inventory levels. 2. Reporting: Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate key performance metrics, trends, and insights to management and relevant stakeholders. 3. Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times while maintaining service quality. 4. Partners with service providers / freight forwarders / industry experts to benchmark and propose enhancements for strategic roadmap. 5. Partners with Sourcing and Planning Department to execute air to ocean mode shifts while driving improved container utilization. 6. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with transportation vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective services. 7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. 8. Technology Utilization: Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools to streamline processes and improve visibility into transportation operations. 9. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis and recommend cost-saving initiatives, such as consolidation of shipments or mode optimization. 10. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives in transportation operations. 11. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation operations, including disruptions, delays, and supply chain interruptions. 12. Support the development of the Transportation Strategy and evolution in close partnership with the Global Transportation leadership team.

Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of experience in transportation analysis, logistics, or supply chain management. 3. Proficiency in data analysis and relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft applications, Cognos, Tableau, TMS). 4. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry trends. 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 6. Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. 7. Project management experience is a plus. 8. Experience working with freight forwarders in air and ocean transportation.
