Under the direction of the research manager of the biotechnology & drug discovery technologies group, you will be part of a team of analysts who conducts market research and performs growth consulting covering the Asia pacific and the Biotechnology & Drug Discovery Technologies industry. As part of the analyst team, you will collect and analyze primary and secondary data on market conditions and business growth opportunities, interview market participants, end-users, distributors, write market reports, develop market forecasts and deliver analyst briefings and cultivate client relationships.
Responsibilities include the following: Research and monitor selected markets in the biotechnology & drug discovery technologies industry, with the goal of developing expertise in this market Conduct primary interviews with industry experts such as major manufacturers, distribution channel members, and end-users for the purpose of gathering primary data and ultimately producing a written market research report Conduct in-depth market analysis, and develop revenue forecasts Critically evaluate, summarize and draw conclusions from a wide variety of secondary data Write insightful articles on the industry for Frost & Sullivan online, Web newsletters, magazines, newspapers, and other industry media; contribute in content to reporters for major business publications Establish a presence as an influential and knowledgeable figure in the biotechnology & drug discovery technologies industry
Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, Genetics, Pharmacology, or an Interdisciplinary biomedical program is required Additional coursework or strong interest in Market Research, Business or Economics is highly desirable Understanding of the drug discovery process, basic business principles and financial concepts. Prior experience in the Drug Discovery, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries is a plus Strong quantitative skills which will facilitate creative and accurate forecast modeling Strong time management skills with ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment Strong organizational and analytical skills with commitment to quality Excellent command of English, both oral and written
