As Accounting Assistant, you will handle or support accounting process for Align Shanghai and Align Chengdu entities under the supervision of AP & GL or AR Manager, continue to actively contribute to a fast-paced environment by learning and growing in different roles.
This position will report to AP & GL or AR Manager – China, rotate in AP, AR accounting assistant roles, handle or support accounting process for Align Shanghai and Align Chengdu. This hands-on role offers both variety and responsibility along with the opportunity to make a strong contribution to our growth and expansion plans in Align China.
In this role, you will… AP role 61 Perform T&E report audit and payment for Align China and Align Chengdu, take necessary actions to provide training to employees and ensure compliance with T&E policy. 61 Driving timely submission of T&E reports and improve corporate credit card usage rate. 61 Perform 3-way match, process payments and maintain AP vouchers. 61 Perform Input VAT invoice verification and reconciliation.
AR role 61 Perform periodical and monthly reconciliation with customer on AR balance, make collection calls and follow up outstanding and work closely with commercial team to drive collection results. 61 Respond to customer queries and coordinate with other team members to answer client queries/resolve client dispute in a timely manner. 61 Weekly /Monthly AR aging and collection status update and risk alert to AR manager. 61 Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing, VAT reconciliation between ERP and golden tax system.
61 Both roles 61 Prepare manual journal entries and ensure accurate month end closing and reporting. 61 Prepare account reconciliations by due date and follow up on reconciling/aged items timely. 61 Liaise closely with internal and external auditors on the audit field work. 61 Support implementing internal controls and process improvements, support ERP implementation or upgrade when needed. 61 Other Ad hoc financial projects and tasks assigned by manager.
In this role, you’ll need … The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 61 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline 61 At least 1 year relevant experience in finance and accounting is a plus 61 Working experience in a multinational company environment, with ability to operate in diverse cultures 61 A good team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills to give strong business partnering support 61 Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects 61 Deadline-conscious with “can do” spirit to ensure timely reporting 61 Have a positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods 61 Agile, results oriented, customer focused 61 Acts with integrity and fairness and high standards of accountability 61 Language: English and Chinese (written and spoken) 61 Strong systems skills with prior experience of Finance ERP system. Working knowledge of Netsuite and SAP is a plus 61 Advanced Excel and database skills
