Position: Country Manager in Apparel / Textile / Garment

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
The position is responsible for managing and sourcing of all garment materials, sampling and sharp pricing to provide competitive price with quality products. 61 Act as a costing and buyer for our Shanghai office to conduct comprehensive sourcing activities for materials and fabrics, specifically for WOVEN items, such as DENIM FABRIC, NON-DENIM FABRIC, Corduroy heavy woven fabric, light weight woven fabric. 61 Negotiator for prices. Fully capable of computing and ensuring sharp pricing based on required spec and design. 61 Technical expertise in quilted jackets with productions in China, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia 61 Expertise both in knit and woven. 61 Plan for new seasonal sampling by appropriate material sourcing and prices 61 Strengthen and maintain the good relationship with factories, suppliers and head office buying department to enhance the business 61 Leadership capabilities to handle team as well as to ensure effective sourcing & merchandising activities. 61 Create and maintain accurate records of all sourcing activities, supplier information, pricing, and developments. 61 Work diligently with the internal teams to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage workload efficiently. 61 Work closely with cross-function teams across other offices (Germany, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Shanghai, Hong Kong) including Merchandising, Quality Management and Research & Development 61 Supervise and ensure the smooth running of other teams within the office, buying & sourcing, merchandising, quality control, accounting, HR and Administration.
REQUIREMENTS 61 University graduate in clothing, textile, or related disciplines 61 At least 10 years relevant working experience in apparel industry with minimum 5-years at Buying and Sourcing position. 61 English fluency required, self-motivated, self-directed, proactive, solutions-driven change agent 61 Excellent problem solving and communication skills to deal with customers and factories 61 Management skills, and organizational skills 61 Solid communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. 61 Experience working with European supermarket chains, i.e. Aldi and/or Lidl order would be an asset.
