Job Responsibilities: Lead supervisors and production personnel to achieve expected quality and expanding production values. Understand production process, review all metrics of production: productivity, delivery, PPM, downtime, attendance in a timely basis, use rapid problem solving, PDCA, RCA to solve the production problem, with the judgement for analysis and action. Fully understand the GEM, lead shopfloor GEM activities Use LSW for daily work, audit, and coach GSVs on LSW. Coach and mentor teams and act as a role model for GEM behaviours. Coach, mentor people, fairly evaluate people’s performance, drive talent upgrade and organisation strength. Lead change management in shopfloor, drive people to finish the change curve. Follow standard work daily basis, take part in tier 4 meeting, and make sure rapid problem solving, exclusion process on site. Facilitates training and development of manufacturing personnel. Enforces manufacturing procedures and operators’ instructions. Provides leadership and guidance to the manufacturing personnel. Handles personnel problems in conjunction with Human Resources. Ensures that departmental budgets are met. Integrate standard work into GEM and fully implement HSE and other duties assigned by leader. Teaches continues improvement thinking & leads many Kaizen events daily. Develop strategy and translate into actionable plans & drive change through influence. Resource production planning basing on AOP budget and demand info, be results oriented with history of getting breakthrough results in productivity.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Higher degree/MBA preferred. Experience in manufacturing management in the industry requiring high production mix, adherence to procedures and high-quality levels. Experience in the automotive or heavy industry requiring assembly and precision machining preferred. Experience in Quality Systems IATF 16949 preferable. Previous experience in direct supervision of production employees required. Computer literacy and high demand of English capability Must have experience in lean implementation and working knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma strategies and principles, Ability to communicate lean and six sigma principles to all levels, internal and external, technical, and non-technical. Must be a proven/experienced & working knowledge of Toyota Production system. Fully understand the GEM, lead shopfloor GEM activities, need have significant cycles of learning & conducting Kaizen events. Be results oriented in productivity, hands-on, driving management style preferred. Ability to develop strategy and translate into actionable plans & drive change through influence.
