Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Program Manager with a strong background in architecture and hospitality industry experience to lead and manage technology programs that will shape the future of our business in China's hospitality sector. This role will require collaboration with internal IT teams, external partners, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the hotel industry to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Program Management: o Develop and execute program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, specific to the hospitality industry. o Oversee the delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet the unique business objectives of the hotel industry and are delivered on time and within scope. o Monitor and report on program progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders in the context of the hospitality industry. 2. Architecture Expertise: o Apply deep knowledge of IT architecture to guide the selection and implementation of future tech solutions tailored to the hospitality industry. o Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that meet the specific needs of the hotel industry and align with long-term strategic goals. o Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and refine system architectures that enhance guest experiences and operational efficiencies in hotels. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: o Build and maintain strong relationships with internal IT teams, business units, and external partners within the hospitality ecosystem. o Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals that are relevant to the hotel industry. o Manage expectations and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive project environment, considering the unique dynamics of the hospitality sector. 4. Solution Selection: o Research and analyze emerging technologies relevant to the Chinese hospitality market, such as smart hotel solutions and digital guest engagement platforms . o Facilitate decision-making processes to narrow down and select the most promising tech solutions that can enhance guest experience and operational efficiency in hotels. o Develop business cases and present recommendations to leadership, highlighting the impact of technology on guest satisfaction and hotel operations. 5. Risk Management: o Identify potential risks specific to the implementation of new technologies in the hospitality industry and develop mitigation strategies. o Monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as needed to minimize impact, considering the high-stakes environment of hotel operations. 6. Compliance and Standards: o Ensure all technology solutions comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards specific to the hospitality sector in China. o Stay informed on changes in regulations and adjust program strategies accordingly to maintain compliance in a rapidly evolving industry. 7. Continuous Improvement: o Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and technology solutions, leveraging insights from the hospitality industry. o Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and identify areas for enhancement, focusing on guest satisfaction and operational performance in hotels. Qualifications: 61 Education: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a focus on hospitality industry applications. 61 Experience: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on technology projects within the hospitality industry. o Proven track record of delivering complex technology programs in hotels, including property management systems, guest-facing technologies, and back-office automation . 61 Skills: o Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams across the hospitality sector. o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly in the context of hotel operations. o Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), tailored to the hospitality industry. o Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies in the hospitality sector, particularly those relevant to the Chinese market . o Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies specific to the hotel industry. o Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities in the hospitality sector. 61 Language: o Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international and local teams in the hospitality industry.
