Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and experienced Marketing Communications Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in brand marketing and PR, as well as brand generated social media content management. The Marcom Manager will focus on developing and executing integrated communication strategies, managing public relations campaigns, and fostering strong online engagement across key social media channels in China. This role will ensure that our clients' brands stand out in a competitive landscape, reaching and engaging target audiences effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Management (20%)
61 Taking the role of the contact window of the client, and responsible for daily client liaison and management 61 Lead accounts/client projects independently with minimal supervision and direction from line manager 61 Develop and execute marketing communications strategies, project presentations and proposals that align with each client’s branding and goals. 61 Develop monthly, quarterly, yearly report as per requirement of the client
2. Marcom/PR (60%)
61 Lead media relations efforts, including pitching, securing, and managing press coverage in relevant publications and media outlets. 61 Craft/review press releases, media kits, speech, newsletters, talking points and other public-facing content, ensuring alignment with client messaging and goals. 61 Coordinate and execute events, fam trips, media gatherings and consumer activations that foster engagement with influencers, journalists, and consumers 61 Monitor and analyse PR efforts to provide insights and recommendations for ongoing campaign adjustments.
3. Social Media Content Management (20%)
61 Plan and manage social media content across Chinese platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, etc.), creating a cohesive presence for client 61 Curate engaging and culturally relevant content, including text, images, and short videos, tailored to each platform and audience demographic. 61 Stay updated on social media trends and best practices within the China market, identifying new opportunities for engagement.
Qualifications:
61 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 61 Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing communications and PR, with a focus on tourism or destination marketing preferred. 61 Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English. 61 Strong network of media contacts within the travel, lifestyle, and/or hospitality sectors. 61 Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful, measurable marketing communications and PR campaigns. 61 Creative, proactive, and highly organized, with a passion for tourism and cross-cultural engagement. 61 Excellent skills with office applications include but not limited to PPT, Word, Excel. 61 Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualities:
61 Experienced in destination marketing or travel industry is preferred. 61 Good bilingual written skills 61 Experience managing influencer partnerships and collaborative campaigns. 61 Social media account cultivation experiences 61 Short video editing capability for social media posts 61 Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and social media analytics tools 61 A team player with down-to-earth, proactive attitude.
