Safety Specialist Huntsman’s Polyurethane division is now looking for a Safety Specialist. This Safety Specialist is Work closely with site Operation Team and local authorities. Implement National and Huntsman safety requirements, standards, and programs for full compliance. Plan, organize, setup and implement safety management system at this chemical plant. Support site EHS manager for safety issues. This role is located in Caojing. As the Safety Specialist, you will: Establish and maintain plant safety management system and procedures, based on local safety regulation, Huntsman EHS Standards and Procedures. Work closely with site operation teams, and ensure site safety procedures are fully implemented, including but not limited on risk assessment, work permit system, incident investigation, Contractor Management, EHS trainings to prevent human injury and loss of property. Develop and implement EHS programs, such as life saver rules, Zero Harm, Behavior Safety etc. to improve EHS awareness and culture. Work with site teams on improvement and corrective actions for any non-compliance or non-conformance. Identify EHS training needs for all associates and contractors and maintain the training programs to meet mandatory and plant requirements. Be responsible for the completion of safety related evaluations, and obtain required safety permits and licenses for projects, and plant operation. Work with local safety authorities for safety related inspections and improvements. Support site EHS manager for other safety responsibilities. Skills and experiences required: College degree or above, preferably with major in chemical engineering or environment, occupational safety and health background preferred. More than 3 years safety work or more than 10 years production operation experience in chemical industry. Certified safety engineer certificate (chemical area) is preferred. Management experience with considerable exposure to regulatory matters, work safety, and permit application. The ability on MS Office skills. A good understanding of local safety laws and regulations. Ability to develop and implement EHS training. Good team player and influencing skill.
