The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for consultative and dynamic sales efforts of the company services within the defined geographic location to key decision makers at existing and new sponsor companies. The Senior Business Development Manager collaborates cross-functionally to ensure the company sales goals are achieved and individual targets met. The Senior Business Development Manager is tasked with direct sales activities including, prospecting, cold calling, in-person and virtual sales calls, proposal management, lead generation, and ultimately closing deals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
61 Achieve sales goals by generating new business from existing and new customers. 61 Market, negotiate and sell services for clinical trials to pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms, diagnostic companies and university/research sites. 61 Solidify long-term relationships with pharmaceutical companies, medical institutes, Governmental division, etc. 61 Designs and delivers powerful capabilities and bid defense presentations; creates business opportunities through industry relationships and networks; proactively resolves sponsor issues by creating specific action plans that support both the company and sponsor objectives; represents and advocates Business Development at various company meetings. 61 Collaborates and coordinates with other departments in the analysis and development of the company’s proposal process and ongoing customer service post-award. Negotiates LOIs, Master Agreements and Milestone Payments with customer. 61 Provide required documentation of achievement of weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals. Prepare all necessary documents required from customer, for example, RFI, RFP, etc. 61 Provide feedback to stakeholders (adjusted from clinical trial operations to stakeholders) on specific customer needs. 61 Input activities and achievements on assigned accounts into CRM (Workbooks), including leads, contacts, opportunities, meetings, etc. Conducts business/project reviews with existing accounts. 61 Prepare and deliver accurate client database. 61 Other tasks assigned by upper management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May include supervisory responsibilities and oversight of regional Business Development team or function. Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning forecasting and directing work; performance management, mentorship and conflict resolution.
69 Job Requirements:
61 Education & Experience o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a certified college. o Previous BD experience is preferred o 7 years’ of relevant experience in clinical research industry is preferred.
