Key areas of accountability

1. Optical design

- Deep understanding of lighting applications and ability to translate Marketing requirements to Lighting application requirement and then to Optical requirements.

- Design of LED-based optical systems for lighting purpose, both reflective and refractive.

- Good knowledge of optical materials (transmitting, reflecting and diffusive) and coatings (reflective, anti-UV ...).

- Modelling, optimizing and tolerancing complex lighting systems using one of the basic optical design software tools (Lightools preferred, others will be considered).

- Simulating light application using one of light application simulation software tools(Dialux, AGI32 …).



2. Optical manufacturing & testing

- Definition and implementation of optical testing plan with a hands-on approach (preparing prototypes and performing optical tests).

- Knowledge of basic instruments used in lighting (Gonio-photometer, lux-meter, luminance-meter, ...)

- Ability to develop her/his own tools for specific purpose, if required.

- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (lenses and reflectors)

- Knowledge of lighting products manufacturing processes



3. Project management & Leadership

- Reports efficiently and adapts her/his communication to stakeholders


- Participates in defining technical roadmaps and competencies development plans



Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree or above in Optical Engineering

2. Result-driven and open-minded individual able to interact in a global organization.

3. Fluent in English and Mandarin
