Here is what you need to know about the job: Primary Purpose of the Position 61 Product Quality Assurance & Quality Control, supporting from factories selection through shipment 61 Manage the product quality process to ensure support for the Merchant strategy and store customer satisfaction. 61 Carry out the QA/QC process of pre-production, ‘in-line’, final product reviews, and system audits (applicable to AQL certified factories) 61 Ensure that products shipped are safe, legal, UK specifications, and are ‘fit for purpose (as teamwork with internal team) 61 Check factories we are working with are audited, capable and meet customer quality, product compliance and safety requirements. 61 Work with factories to ensure shipped product quality meets or exceeds customer agreed standards 61 Work with suppliers on any DC / CFS failures – route cause analysis. 61 Support customer complaint investigation 61 Support Technical Manager on analysis and improvement actions from feedback on customer returns and ‘in store’ product assessments. 61 Identify product risk levels and take actions to minimize product instore and customer challenges. 61 Production capability and capacity checks to support on-time delivery, and ensuring no unauthorized subcontracting 61 Understand and contribute towards achieving or exceeding the agreed yearly Goals and Objectives. 61 Work with factories to help them continuously improve product quality and sustainability. 61 Actively contribute ideas and best practices to the Manufacturing Excellence QA Manual. Essential Functions of the Job 61 Focus on achievement, or exceeding, of the agreed yearly Goals and Objectives aligned with customer 61 Monitor factory performance in terms of quality, delivery, efficiency of execution, focusing on KPIs defined in the yearly Goals and Objectives, including production test results, final inspection and in store quality monitoring, OQL 61 Follow through on execution of factory,managing corrective action plans with suppliers/factories that are failing hitting goals 61 Support Technical Manage to develop factory and Supplier DQA skills and abilities to achieve customer AQL Certification and be able to - 61 Identify root causes of problems and resolve them ‘upstream’ so that quality issues do not adversely affect production. 61 Complete a proper investigation of any failure and write up report when needed. 61 Lead/Support regular DQA meetings/training/briefing sessions to align criteria and share relevant information to factories 61 Identify and assist resolution of production challenges ‘real time’ in factories 61 Tackle the root cause of issues in a timely manner, especially related to Instore challenges from Testing, TD reviews, recalls or withdrawals. 61 Provide timely and relevant product quality, factory capacity and capability information to Sourcing and Cross Functional teams so they can make informed decisions. Skills Requirements: 61 Technical expertise in area of product responsibility and sound knowledge in other product areas product. 61 Proven experience working in factories in production 61 High integrity and business ethics. 61 Experience in working with retail business 61 Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes, procedures and best practice. 61 Highly organized – able to deal with multiple activities and meetings with suppliers and factories. 61 Good communication skills. 61 Team Player.
