Position Summary
The job incumbent manages the Product engineering projects for automotive _OES2+IAM He/she coordinates all activities within the team and provides technical expertise to ensure that the projects meet the customer and company requirements.

Main Accountabilities
Design & Development
1. Lead and manage the customer negotiations regarding the specifications of the products to be designed and define the functional specifications based on the customer requirements, participate in the presentations for the developed products to the customer
2. Patent check before Gate, ensure that the patent rights for new/existing products are protected in cooperation with the Legal department
3. Prepare and maintain the technical documentation regarding the products within the relevant product group
4. Coordinate all engineering activities with the Production department in order to ensure the productbility of the designed products
5. Manage the processes of product modification in regards to the technical specifications during the serial production
6. Manage technical communication with prototype suppliers, i.e. material, durability, process, etc.

Product management
1. Launch market orientated product program

83 Make-or-Buy decision (based on commercial aspects)
83 Initiate and control internal process for new product launch
83 Inform regularly about new filter types
2. Responsibility of range competitiveness

83 Trigger product cost down in order to meet margin target
83 Relocate place of production of filter types due to commercial/ technical reasons
3. Maintain product related information in internal catalogue system (PARTS)

4. Technical support for internal customer
