Purpose/Objective: · Responsible to deliver new or current business projects (complicated instrument / workstation / dedicated consumables) according to defined timeline, scope, cost and quality targets as leader of a global CFT project team. Area of Responsibilities: · Project Scale: - Breakthrough NPD Programs (that require more comprehensive planning capability for pre-TG2 deliverables, and higher agility in program control and stakeholder management). - Project which requires complex consumable development synchronization. - Cross BU / OPCO Program planning and execution (that requires comprehensive planning and capability and mature communication skills to roll out high level strategy to executable project plan). - Define Roadmap strategy / Responsibility for portfolio (IPV funnel; NPI growth bridge contribution). · Accountable to deliver development projects or major design changes within timeline, budget and quality constraints while meeting scope, quality system requirements / compliance rules; · Roll out product portfolio strategy and roadmap planning into project initiation, incl. project definition according to process, propose team wheel, and initiate project budget plan to ensure projects are kicked off according to plan; · Establish and monitor use of tools for project tracking and management · Manage the critical path of the project; · Identify, track and mitigate actively on key risks (commercial/ technical) together with the core team; · Lead the team while promoting team effectiveness, morale, motivation and productivity and provide feedback to the team members; · Actively involve and align stakeholders and manage expectation; · Ensures all team members understand project objectives, and know their roles and responsibilities; · Assure Productive use of company standards; · Ensure full compliance of all executed project activities according to Leica and regulatory standards (FDA; ISO 13485); · Controls project costs and support preparing accurate forecast on R&D cost and capital expenses; · Supports development of department-specific processes and tool. Person Specification: 1. Skills / Competencies · Expert in all key project development stages Innovation, TDP, APD and CFT areas; · Strong business acumen; · Excellent communication skills; · Proficient experience in DBS tools and ability to scale DM to Program specific needs; · CP in VPM ability to facilitate VPM outside of OPCO and NPI; · Capability to facilitate PSP work in other project teams, PD or L1 initiatives; · Advanced change management skills; · Strategic skills, knowledge and experience; · Strong understanding of Leica core competencies. 2. Functional knowledge · Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise and is able to apply in own specialized discipline or field. 3. Business expertise · Interprets internal/external business challenges and implements recommendations of best practices to improve products, processes or services with minimum manager involvement. 4. Leadership · No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members. 5.
