To apply specialist knowledge and expertise with regard to synthetic technologies and process optimization and to develop, integrate and apply it in R&D innovation projects and other research activities within S&R chemistry and process science Shanghai team, contributing to process innovation, process development, production trouble shooting, tech transfer and generation of new expertise and new concepts.

Your key responsibilities
61 Participate in assigned R&D project(s) and execute the agreed research programs / experiments, evaluate them and report the results.
61 Evaluate new ideas and support the initiation of R&D proposals and projects.
61 Provide guidance and coaching to scientists/associate scientists.
61 Build up the overall knowledge on the processes for production sites, business trip or short-term period working at plant is required.
61 Repeat/scale down the plant process in lab, fast response to the plant requirement, transfer the lab results to production site.
61 Establish and maintain an internal and external network via proactive communication.

You bring
61 PhD in organic chemistry, process technology and fine chemicals (or equivalent qualification), with ideally 3-5 years experience in process chemistry and real industrial level production.
61 Fluent in Mandarin and English with good communication and interpersonal skills.
61 Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of modern synthetic methodologies and techniques.
61 Capability to aply modern analytical approaches for process development.
61 Ideally experience in supporting technical scale-down, scale-up and related piloting.
61 Ideally knowledge in engineering concept and philosophy to tightly work with plant or operation engineering team.
