Due to our company's rapid growth, we are offering a unique new position in our global engineering function: Senior Engineer, located in our Slovakia site.
As a Senior Engineer you are technical responsible to develop assemblies, sub-assemblies and components to meet our customer and internal design specifications. As Senior Engineer you will cooperate within a team and report to the Manager Advanced Engineering. The Senior Engineer maintains primary contacts with the internal departments, Advanced Engineering, Project Engineering, Validation, SQD, Purchasing, Sales and maintains suppliers and OEM contacts on technical level. It is your challenge to perform your tasks within budget, against the agreed quality level and within the given time plan with a strong customer focus. In this position you cooperate in multidisciplinary project teams, and you work closely together with Project Engineers and Advanced Engineers. This position is based in our Slovakia site.
You report directly to the Manager Advanced Engineering. Based in our Corporate Headquarters in Venray, The Netherlands.

61 Develop new products and support the introduction of technology in customer projects.
61 Plan, prepare and follow up activities on the engineering deliverables compliance with customer and internal company development processes and gates.
61 Understand roof systems and roof functions and be able to support regions with root cause analyses.
61 Experience and in-depth knowledge of smart glazing systems
61 Experience and knowledge of connection for switchable glazing and lighting controls.
61 Perform feasibility studies based on technical specifications resulting in design concepts and recommendations.
61 Perform technical risk analysis using formal design engineering tools (DFMEA / GD&T / DFA / CAD / CAE / Lessons Learned / Design Reviews).
61 Review and evaluate product designs concerning costs and manufacturability.
61 Specify the engineering activities to build prototypes based on initial design concepts.
61 Improve product specifications and standardization documents to meet the required quality level of the design.
61 Technical lead for Project Engineers and CAD Design Engineers and component suppliers.
61 Proactively support both our customer and supplier quality assurance departments to enable component and product sign off agreements
61 In close cooperation with the Inalfa purchase team, carrying out business strategies, coordinate the development of the components and sub-systems.
61 Performing activities on the location of customer or supplier
61 Preparing forecast information for reviewing project hours and material costs
What do we expect from you?
61 You have a finished degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering / Glazing Engineering on a BsC or MSC level.
61 At least 3-10 years of work experience. Automotive experience is preferred, but not always necessary.
61 We do expect you to have knowledge of glass systems and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
61 As a professional you have a service/customer-oriented approach with good analytical and organizational skills. In your work you focus on results, and you can manage your planning and set priorities.
61 As the automotive industry is focused on Quality you are as well. Therefore, you bring good problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and proactive approach.
61 It is very important to have excellent communication skills in English.
61 Willingness to travel occasionally
