Job Description
1. Purpose

To perform the day to day operational logistic activities with regard to inbound and outbound logistics in order to achieve cost effective and smooth logistic processes.

2. Key Accountabilities

1.To support set up and implementation of Huntsman & local EHS regulatory requirements, emergency response systems standards and procedures for internal logistics (incl. Warehouse) and external logistics operations in line with agreed customer service standards.

2.To co-ordinate the daily logistics operations including outbound and inbound deliveries, technical logistics, fleet (isotank) supervision and all related trouble shootings.

3.To investigate for logistics service related complaints from external and internal customers, work out corrective & preventive actions and monitor the effectiveness and timeliness of these actions.

4.To perform the required technical and onsite logistic activities, such as variants fleet co-ordination, tanker inspection as required to ensure smooth internal loading and unloading process onsite and smooth drumming operations at Vopak (VSL).

5.To provide monthly reports for the agreed logistic KPI’s and based on the analysis of those to support continual improvement of 3rd party logistical service providers.

6.To participate in improvement projects in the area of logistics and/or SAP projects.

3. Special Features

Given the complexity if MDI transportation a high degree of technical logistic knowledge is required including a good product knowledge combined with a good understanding of the capabilities of the transportation industry in China. It is also expected that the jobholder participates in the emergency response call out system.

Good communication to 3rd party LSP’s.

Have the responsibility and authority to ensure that customer requirements are met in special characteristics like logistics information, etc

4. Basic Requirements

4.1 Education

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in a chemical subject

4.2 Experience

At least 3 years working experience in logistics, distribution network or chemical plant

Preference for candidates with working experience in regional/global multinational companies

4.3 Skills

Fluent in English both in writing and speaking

Excellent supply chain knowledge is a plus

Excellent computer skills especially in SAP and MS Office

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across all levels

Strong influencing skills
