Responsibilities:
61 The candidate shall review clients, design engineers and/or third-party design and information to determine suitability and liaise with those concerned to obtain further information if necessary.
61 The candidate shall have experience gained by delivering projects across the complete project lifecycle from front end engineering design (FEED) through to detailed design, technical assurance, testing & commissioning and final handover.
61 The candidate shall produce design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
61 Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
61 Provide estimates and feedback for proposals department.
61 The candidate shall undertake outline and detailed designs and specifications for electrical, instrumentation and control works.
61 The candidate shall provide day-to-day technical input as part of a team of engineers.
61 The candidate shall ensure that the design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of work, timescales, and budgets.
61 The candidate shall liaise with other disciplines within the organisation or the project team to fully integrate all design elements.
61 The candidate shall provide written reports of system options.
61 The candidate shall write specifications for electrical systems.
61 The candidate shall prepare calculations and technical/equipment specification documentation.
61 The candidate shall monitor the installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
61 The candidate shall have good knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environment, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCD’s, earthing and bonding and familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry-specific standards and working practices.
61 The candidate shall have proficiency in designing appropriate digital analysis packages and electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech. Also, able to write and review technical documentation (technical specifications, control philosophies, URS)
61 The candidate shall work to the procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
61 The candidate shall ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
61 The candidate shall ensure that the design takes full regard for all health and safety requirements.


Requirements:
61 Degree in Electrical Engineering.
61 The Candidate shall have minimal of 8 years of experience in electrical design works, preferably with management and coordination experience.
61 Experience working on water and sewage treatment projects.
61 Ability to rationalize designs and produce economic plant layouts.
61 Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
61 Able to work independently in producing the project deliverables to meet project timeline.
61 Proficient in written and oral communication with good interpersonal skills.
