As an SQD Engineer, your primary responsibility is to develop suppliers and manage the part quality during the development phase to ensure we work with a best-in-class supplier base. You will audit and improve our supplier base and take necessary actions when needed. As part of the SQD organization, you will report directly to the SQD Manager EU.
What are your main tasks and responsibilities:
61 Perform audits for existing and new suppliers. 61 Analyze quality issues and report this information towards the internal organization as well as the supply chain. 61 Fundamentally improve C/D rated suppliers. 61 Review and drive 8D report involvement whenever requested by Operations and coordinate through purchasing department. 61 Manage product changes and tool reallocations regarding supplier quality aspects. 61 Manage PPA processes and review processes changes. 61 Main contact person for a specific commodity to set up the proper direction at the initial stage of the APQP (glass, fabrics, electronics, plastics parts, seals, etc.). 61 Develop suppliers and manage quality issues related to the supply chain. 61 Ensure that the suppliers meet our specifications and quality standards with a strong focus on reproducibility. 61 Audit and improve our supplier base and to take necessary actions if needed. 61 Fulfil a liaison role between purchasing and Operations
What do we expect from you?
61 You have a finished degree on a BsC or MsC level in Mechanical / Automotive / Industrial Engineering or other relevant. 61 At least 3-5 years supplier management experience in the Automotive industry (OEM or 1st tier). Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus. 61 Experience with different production processes like metal stamping or extrusion is highly preferred. 61 We do expect you to have knowledge of FMEA, APQP and PPAP. 61 VDA 6.3 and Six Sigma Greenbelt is a strong plus. 61 As the automotive industry is focused on Quality you are as well. Therefore you bring good problem solving skills with a pragmatic and pro-active approach. 61 It is important to have good communication skills in English and German. 61 Willingness to travel.
