A Business Unit Manager is a key leadership role within an organization responsible for overseeing a specific division or unit within the company. Responsibilities: Track performance and identify areas for improvement by monitoring sales metrics and KPIs to achieve Sales Targets Lead the overall strategic direction of the business unit, aligning it with company goals and objectives. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue. Set clear sales goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance to achieve them. Build and maintain customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges. Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Regularly report on business unit performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement to senior management. P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Monitor key performance indicators and take corrective actions to achieve financial targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, professional networks, and relevant stakeholders. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven experience of managing a business unit or comparable position in a related industry Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and implement business strategies. Excellent leadership skills and experience in employee development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and derive recommendations.
