Position: R&D Robotics Mechanics Engineer Location: Shenzhen or Shanghai, China Report to: CTO China Headcount: 1
Key responsibilities: 1) System development, design, and construction of mechatronic gripping systems for automation and robotics systems. 2) Successful expansion of SCHUNK-Portfolio for industrial robots, Cobots, AMR, AGV and Humanoid Robotics. 3) Testing and optimization of both developed and existing systems with responsibility for the entire system: motor, encoder, brake, gearbox, etc. 4) Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams both internally and externally for the successful implementation of projects. 5) Working in a dynamic environment with opportunities for individual development. 6) Support in building efficient structures in research and development department.
Requirements: 1) Many years of experience in the development of electric drive systems, preferably in the area of robot end-effectors. 2) In-depth knowledge in small electric motors and encoders, motor controls, electric braking systems, and mechanical gears. 3) Excellent design skills and systematic thinking. 4) University degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field. 5) Proficiency in CAD software; experience with PTC CREO is an advantage. 6) Good English skills, both spoken and written. 7) Ability to work independently, initiative, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
