Your expertise will directly impact business growth by shaping proposals, bids, and technical solutions that align with customer requirements and renewable industry standards. Position Overview As our Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding customer needs and crafting tailored solutions. You will be responsible for developing detailed proposals, quotes, presentations, and technical documentation to support the Sales and Advisory Teams in securing new business. Your ability to communicate complex solutions clearly and persuasively will be essential in influencing purchasing decisions and driving success. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, a customer-focused approach, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities 61 Design and define a scope of services based on client specifications and inputs, ensuring alignment with operational needs, industry best practices, and regulatory standards. 61 Develop detailed technical proposals, quotes, and documentation to support the Sales and Advisory Teams in presenting STS solutions to clients. 61 Work closely with sales and business unit teams to understand client needs and ensure proposed solutions align with internal capabilities and expectations. 61 Present the benefits of the technical solutions to clients, addressing any technical concerns and facilitating their decisions. 61 Conduct comprehensive technical, operational, and financial feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions. 61 Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide detailed cost estimates to ensure transparency and cost-effectiveness for both STS and the client. 61 Assess and recommend the required personnel, equipment, and materials required for the successful execution of the proposed technical solutions. 61 Adapt and adjust proposed solutions based on client feedback or evolving project requirements to enhance flexibility and customer satisfaction. 61 Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes, collaborating with the Solutions Innovation team to ensure STS remains competitive. 61 Identify opportunities for process enhancements, ensuring efficiency and innovation in service design and delivery. Qualifications and Experience 61 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field. 61 Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher). 61 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the renewables industry as a Pre-Sales Engineer, specializing in drafting technical proposals and procuring quality assurance services, and/or as a Quality Engineer, Technical Engineer, or Procurement Engineer, preparing technical requirements for proposals for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies or renewable asset developers, with a strong focus on quality assurance for equipment sourcing. 61 Strong understanding of PV module technology, TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) services, and the needs of clients in the renewables sector. 61 Proven expertise in conformity assessment scoping, particularly within the solar sector, with familiarity in industry standards related to solar and energy storage components. 61 Demonstrated ability to draft comprehensive technical proposals for quality assurance and conformity assessment services, compiling all relevant documentation. 61 Experience in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing key information to evaluate proposal feasibility. 61 Strong ability to present technical proposals clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 61 Excellent client-facing communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence decision-making processes. 61 Ability to engage in constructive, open, and respectful conversations, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and solution delivery. 61 Proven track record of working across teams and clients in multiple time zones.
