Job Purpose The Senior Sourcing Specialist will take on a and highly engaging role that requires managing sourcing activities across multiple industries and product lines for a diverse client base. This position requires someone with a proactive mindset for continuous learning, adaptability, and the ability to apply sourcing strategies to meet unique client needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships while navigating different industries and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities 1. Multi-Industry & Multi-Product Line Sourcing: o Manage sourcing activities across various industries and product lines for multiple clients, including but not limited to [mention relevant industries and product types]. o Quickly adapt sourcing strategies based on industry-specific requirements, maintaining flexibility to accommodate the unique needs of each client. o Continuously study new trends, products, and best practices across different sectors to provide innovative solutions to clients. 2. Vendor Management & Negotiation: o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a diverse range of suppliers and vendors across industries. o Negotiate favorable terms and contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to timelines, quality standards, and service levels. o Regularly evaluate supplier performance, establishing benchmarks and striving for continuous improvement. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: o Work closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to understand unique sourcing requirements and provide tailored solutions. o Collaborate with project managers, supply chain teams, and consultants to integrate sourcing strategies with the broader goals of the client's supply chain and business objectives. 5. Continuous Learning & Industry Research: o Stay updated on market conditions, new sourcing technologies, emerging trends, and industry regulations across multiple sectors. o Attend conferences, webinars, and industry events to deepen product and industry knowledge and apply insights to sourcing strategies. o Foster a learning mindset within the team by sharing new insights and encouraging ongoing development. 6. Cost Optimization & Risk Management: o Analyze sourcing data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks, ensuring a seamless supply chain for clients. o Actively seek out innovative solutions to optimize sourcing processes and reduce operational costs. o Develop risk management strategies to address potential disruptions across diverse sourcing channels and industries. 7. Reporting & Documentation: o Prepare regular reports on sourcing activities, performance metrics, and cost savings to share with clients and senior management. o Ensure accurate documentation of contracts, supplier agreements, and procurement data across all projects and industries. 8. Supplier Audits & Compliance: o Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. o Proactively identify areas for improvement in supplier performance and work collaboratively to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills 61 Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 61 Experience: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. o At least 2 years of experience in a senior sourcing role, with a focus on managing multiple industries and product lines. o Experience in working with diverse clients and industries (e.g., consumer goods, industrial components, electronics, etc.) is highly preferred. 61 Skills: o Strong understanding of global sourcing strategies and supply chain optimization. o Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with a diverse range of suppliers and clients. o Ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements and product needs across various industries. o Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). o Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify sourcing opportunities and implement cost-saving measures. o A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and growth in different industries.
