Job Description: 1. Audit all new suppliers' quality systems and production processes to ensure reliable/competent supply base in line with the QA and Sourcing Strategy. 2. Regularly visit, review, guide suppliers/factories to ensure they continue to have the capabilities to meet our technical and quality standards. 3. Proactively work with suppliers to train and guide them on SDS technical and cosmetic standards. 4. Ensure adherence to critical path to avoid unnecessary delays to shipments. 5. Support the Quality Manager and Head of Quality in progressing strategic initiatives and projects 6. Act as a technical 'center of excellence' by keeping up to date with technical developments, communicating these to colleagues and suppliers and by providing technical advice and information so that technical innovations can be taken into account during product design and development. 7. Work closely with merchandising team and other members of the Asia quality team on pre-production meetings, approving developing or modified samples, solving quality issues, compliance of regulatory requirement and pre-shipment inspection 8. Do in season management of product by analysis of returns data and power reviews and via feedback from the UK , and evaluate and resolve any quality/safety related problems identified , ensuring that you completed a root cause analysis and a corrective action plan. 9. Carry out selective QA tasks / QC work and be flexible on either based on the needs of the business. 10. Ensure all QA documentation is completed before the start of each new product season and the relevant information available for use by the QC team during the PSIs 11. Manage the development of product in conjunction with the supplier/UK QA, ensuring that the product and its packaging, assembly instructions/ instruction booklet are safe, fit for purpose, meet the regulatory requirements and will delight our customers 12. Prepare all necessary QA documentation required as part of the product assessment and sealing process 13. Ensure correct product safety, and technical certificates [e.g. BS, ISO and EU standards] are in place. And compile technical files, as necessary , to meet regulatory requirements 14. Regular in depth liaison with UK engineers to improve product design, functionality and ensure compliance with standards Qualifications: 1. Relevant Degree / Higher Diploma ( eg. engineering/ manufacturing) 2. Over 3 years QA and QC working experience in electronic products, home appliances. Electronic/electrical product inspection background is preferred. Experience in the inspection of household appliances: induction cooker, electric kettle, coffee maker, juicer, lamps, consumer electronics, etc., and knowledge of general safety testing. 3. Familiar with product inspection and testing process, familiar with safety requirements. 4. Previous employment in EU buying office or trading Company for retail market would be beneficial 5. Knowledge in BS/European/ISO standard is preferred. 6. Experience in relevant product's manufacturing processes is preferred, 7. Good command of written and spoken English, able to complete inspection report independently, able to read and understand inspection materials in English. Intermediate English comprehension, reading and writing. 8. Experience dealing with Supplier and Factory management. 9. Be able to travel and work under high pressure. 10. Integrity and a good work ethic are essential. 11. Excellent communication skill and team spirit.
