Area of Responsibilities: Overall Objective: The Supply Planning Supervisor will oversee day-to-day planning operations, ensuring the alignment of production schedules, inventory levels, and customer demands. This role will focus on implementing strategies to improve forecasting accuracy, reduce lead times, and optimize capacity management. The Supervisor will play a key role in executing process improvements and monitoring performance metrics to enhance supply chain efficiency. Production and Demand Alignment:: 1. Oversee the creation of supply plans that align with customer demand forecasts and production capacities. 2. Ensure timely and accurate communication of planning requirements to production, procurement, and logistics teams. 3. Monitor and address any imbalances between supply and demand. Capacity Management: 4. Support the manager in coordinating capacity planning activities with suppliers and internal teams. 5. Identify potential capacity constraints and recommend solutions to minimize their impact on operations. 6. Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure alignment on capacity planning. Inventory Control: 1. Monitor inventory levels to ensure they meet customer requirements while minimizing excess stock. 2. Assist in developing replenishment strategies that maintain optimal stock levels. 3. Use ERP tools to track inventory movement and identify areas for improvement. Process Execution & Improvement: 1. Execute supply planning processes in accordance with department strategies and objectives. 2. Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions. 3. Assist in implementing lessons learned from past planning activities to improve outcomes. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: 1. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply planning operations. 2. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency. 3. Prepare reports and presentations for the manager and other stakeholders. Team Collaboration & Support: 4. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and logistics, to align on supply chain priorities. 5. Provide guidance to team members to ensure the smooth execution of planning activities. 6. Act as a point of contact for resolving day-to-day planning issues.
Person Specification: 1. Skills / Competencies Proficiency in demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage day-to-day operations. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights. Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning tools. Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork. 2. Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. 3. Experience 4-6 years of experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, or similar roles. Hands-on experience in ERP systems and data analysis. Demonstrated ability to improve supply chain operations through process optimization. 4. Travel Minimal travel may be required for stakeholder collaboration or supplier engagement. 5. Language Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required. Knowledge of Mandarin or other languages is a plus
