RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Negotiating pricing and all aspects of business for our supply needs within a global supply base. 61 Works with our business unit procurement and product engineering teams to develop and implement commodity strategies within the category. 61 Developing an Asian supply base, which includes the long-term implementation of an Asia ex-China diversification strategy. 61 Required to source new products, and work within a cross functional team including team members from engineering, quality, product management, etc. to drive successful new product launch. 61 Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement activities for existing and new products and suppliers. 61 Reporting on all KPI’s to management with current and maintained action plans for all yearly goals. 61 Assists in expediting product for on time delivery. 61 Develop progress reports and analysis of projects as required by management. 61 Maintain and communicate supplier scorecards. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 61 Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills required. 61 Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on excel and power point expertise. 61 Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese. 61 Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and systems. 61 Experience working in a cross-functional team environment. 61 Able to communicate clearly with suppliers and team members regarding technical requirements, terminology, etc. 61 Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task required. 61 Customer service oriented. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: 61 Bachelor’s degree required. Work experience of lighting is preferred. 61 Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management or sourcing experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business ideas and concepts. Needs to exhibit the ability to create reports, business correspondence, and presentations. An ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, colleagues, customers, and suppliers. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical business and supply chain challenges and situations.
