Position Summary
Intro about Dept./Unit/Program
The NYU Shanghai Department of Campus Safety is committed to creating safety and well-being of the University community, through growing and building upon its demonstrated professional excellence in providing security services. Campus Safety serves the University by preventing crime, maintaining the public order on campus, and handling emergency response and environmental health and safety, with the goal of providing a superior security solution. The Campus Safety Associate will be responsible for promoting safety awareness and education within the NYU Shanghai community. This role involves developing, operating, and improving various safety programs while supporting security team training. The position requires effective collaboration, strong communication, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and community engagement.

The main responsibilities include:
Responsibility A (40%) Campus Safety Promotion and Crime Prevention
A. 校园安全推广与犯罪预防(40%)
Develop and run campus safety programs, including safety presentations, workshops, drills, and community outreach activities.
设计和执行校园安全项目,包括面向全校师生员工的安全讲座、工作坊、演练以及社区外联活动。
Work with student groups and oversee the student safety ambassador program.
联系校内学生组织,管理大学生平安志愿者项目。
Manage the department’s social media platforms, including the webpage and WeChat account.

Build partnerships internally and externally to successfully execute safety events.
与校内外建立合作伙伴关系,以确保安全活动的顺利开展。
Responsibility B (35%) Security Training
B. 安全培训(35%)
Assist in developing and implementing the training program for the Campus Safety specialists and the security guards (weekly, monthly, and annual).
协助制定和执行保安和安全专员团队的培训项目(每周、每月和每年的培训计划)。
Facilitate online and offline training sessions for security team.
协助为安保团队组织线上和线下的培训课程。
Update training materials, documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Responsibility C (25%) Other Operational and Administrative Assignments

Assist with internal and external communications, including writing reports and translating materials.

Support major university events and visits of external groups with security operations, emergency response, and logistics & admin support as needed.

Perform administrative tasks such as document archiving, office supply management, and team-building activities.

Qualifications
Required Education
A bachelor's degree or higher in any field of study is required.
本科及以上学历(专业不限)。
Required Experience
No full-time work experience required. But experience with security, safety, or health-related programs or activities will be a plus.
无需全职工作经验。但有安全或健康相关项目或活动经验者优先。
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective written and spoken communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
良好的中英文书面和口头沟通能力。
Familiarity with graphic design or video production is a plus.
熟悉图形设计或视频制作者优先。
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
良好的沟通与协作能力。
Effective planning, execution, and organizational abilities.
