As a S&T Product Development Chemist, you will participate in the formulation development of our powder coating products, and testing and analysis comes along with it.
This will be an on-site position, locating in our labs in Jiading plant in Shanghai. You will report to Product Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize powder coating formulations based on customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Conduct research to develop new powder coating formulations and improve existing ones.
Perform laboratory tests to evaluate the performance of powder coating formulations.
Work with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and marketing, to understand customer needs, address technical issues, and provide technical support. Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate new raw materials.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, test results, and formulation changes. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation required.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to powder coating products, such as application defects, adhesion problems, or color inconsistencies. Investigate customer complaints and provide timely solutions.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is typically required.
3 or more years of experience in powder coating product development or a related field. Experience with formulation optimization, testing methodologies, and quality control procedures is beneficial.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical instruments used for testing powder coating properties is important. The ability to interpret test results, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions is crucial.
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and develop innovative solutions are necessary. Attention to detail and work as part of a team are important.
