Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Desktop Support Specialist (Level 1) to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills, a strong customer service focus, and effective communication abilities in English. Basic English reading and communication skills are essential for understanding documentation and engaging in simple interactions. In this role, you will provide technical support to our users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help ensure a seamless IT experience for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide part-time technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across various devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Assist users with account management, login issues, and password resets.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications as needed.
Document and track support requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues as necessary.
Educate users on best practices for utilizing IT resources and tools effectively.
Conduct routine maintenance and inventory management of IT equipment on a part-time basis.
Maintain a positive user experience through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Engage in continuous training and professional development to stay updated with technology trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above; an associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a technical support role, ideally in desktop support.
Basic English reading and communication skills.
