SUMMARY: The Air Gateways Manager is responsible for the global movement of air freight in accordance with JAS standards and in compliance with governmental regulations. The Air Gateways Manager monitors the departmental budget and actively seeks cost-efficient solutions to reduce operating expenses. He/She is responsible for assuring maximum efficiency and utilization of the carrier base to reduce air transportation costs and improve margins for JAS. This position manages supervisors, specialists, and administrative assistants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 61 Daily communication and coordination with air export CS and OP teams 61 Reporting (ANR, space utilization, monthly report of volume/GP) 61 Monitoring local market fluctuation and sharing rate/space/service and other market updates with branches and air team 61 Sharing the responsibility of maintaining relationship with local airlines offices 61 Settle accounts with airlines/subcontractor/vendors 61 Perform other duties as needed and requested. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 61 Monitor BSA fulfilment. 61 Analyze ANR after EQ or consolidation. 61 Assure maximum efficiency and utilization of the carrier base to reduce air transportation costs and improve margins for JAS. 61 Co-loader quality management 61 Assist air product team on future BSA planning. 61 Work on process efficiency, e.g. productivity 61 Team management and people development, identify and develop talent on gateway function. QUALIFICATIONS: 61 Oral English capability, be able to teamwork with global cross functions. 61 Skills good written English 61 Good PC skills especially in Microsoft Office 61 Be able to tackle internal or external challenge. 61 Team-working, conscientious, approachable, strong ability to manage and resolve problems. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 61 College degree or above 61 10+ years working experience in international logistics company or airlines is preferred 61 8+ years working experience on booking/gateway function or airlines sales/account manager
