JOB OVERVIEW The IT architect Data Analytics and Business Intelligence is responsible for the delivery of IT services related to the provisioning of data sets, data warehouse, production of Business Intelligence reports and data related applications using low code platform(s). The architect develops a multi-year strategy to improve Inalfa’s capability to manage and use data and data warehouse for business decisions. This includes selection of tools, migration and adoption of technologies and organization of roles in IT and business to cope with the ever-changing demand. Security and data protection are at the base of every design, project and development within and outside of the service area.
SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES The IT architect Data Analytics and Business Intelligence works globally with regional business or IT stakeholders to understand demand from the business, with (global) partners for development and support of applications and technology and direct with regional stakeholders in the business to deliver products and support. The Architect is involved in four key processes within Inalfa’s ‘Manage Information technology’ (5.6) process (as described in the Process House):

Develop and manage IT strategy (5.6.1) 61 Develop the strategy and roadmap for Data Analytics and BI 61 Stays up to date with technology and market trends. Develops knowledge and skills in diverse ways (learn from peers, study, visit vendors, training & conferences) 61 Coaches, mentors, and collaborates with global and regional staff and peers to develop technology knowledge and experience that enables and drives the business. 61 Ensures that information security and data privacy are always considered in the (execution of the) IT strategy.
Design, develop and deploy IT services and solutions (design and build) (5.6.2) 61 Execute BI or data warehouse projects to establish the strategy 61 Translate business requests into cost efficient designs for reports and solutions 61 Architect data (warehouse) structures and adding new data sources 61 Ensure integrity and security of the data sets and support the improvement of data quality 61 Manage the team(s)/projects to deliver Data Analytics and Business Intelligence projects and activities 61 Documents architecture designs and ensures proper documentation of projects and changes 61 Manage low code environment(s) for both application development and end (power) user development
Perform (execute) IT operations (run and maintain) (5.6.3) 61 Data security and Master Data Management process 61 Database governance and administration with DevOps methodology 61 Manage the operations of the Data Analytics and BI services, including license management 61 Train the organization in the use of the BI tools
Administrate IT (5.6.4) 61 Maintain relations with suppliers, work with internal functional teams (MRO Purchase, Legal, HR) to ensure appropriate resource management 61 Manage and maintain internal SLA’s
What do we expect from you? 61 Bachelor or Master in Data Analytics and/or Computer Science or similar, preferably in combination with courses related to business management 61 At least 10 years experienced in the whole stack of Business Warehouse and Business Intelligence (DWH, ETL, MS SQL including SSIS and SSAS, Cubes, BI, Report design), both technical and business requirements analysis 61 Experience with the application of AI and ML in data intensive environments 61 Work experience in a manufacturing company and ERP based BI 61 Data management skills: Able to quickly understand the business processes, (main) data elements and systems of record in order to design solutions and make decisions for data sources 61 Strong communication and project management skills, English is our business language 61 Able to translate business strategy into IT Strategy and roadmap 61 Experience with MS-SQL data warehouse technology and PowerBI (JSON, DAX and Power Query) 61 Understanding of Cyber security and data protection
