This position will drive and coordinate trade compliance projects, including communication with authorities, advocacy efforts, supporting business needs, optimizing the business model, customer training, and handling requests. The role also involves maintaining good working relationships with government officials and internal stakeholders.
61 Support Import/Export operation team in case of problematical/complex challenges in their daily operations. 61 Respond to internal/external inquiries, review for stakeholders with regulatory change, impact analysis and trade metric. 61 Support compliance reviewing on Life Science biologic products to identify relevant requirements from regulatory perspective as new product initiative. Determine Customs classification of the goods according to products description and technical data. 61 Take active role in risk potential matters with authorities, inspectors and trade associations. 61 Identify opportunities for process efficiency and effectiveness in compliance through automation or process improvement, put in place compliance-related metrics and a program for continuous improvement. 61 Take initiatives to build relationships and advocate for local authorities and trade associations in terms of Life Science interests. Safeguard company strategic interests and objectives in emerging regulations. 61 Manage and support businesses on evolving requirements in a rapidly changing legal landscape. 61 Develop and update trade compliance SOP for four legal entities and define and clarify the roles & responsibilities of Trade Compliance and other internal functions for smooth collaboration. 61 Drive implementation of policies and instructions through monitoring, make proper communication on regulation change and implication analysis.
Who You Are: 61 Degree in Biologics, Pharmacy or related filed. 61 Fluent in Chinese native & English (verbal and written) is required. 61 Experience of minimum 8 years in life sciences industry, extensive knowledge in chemical products. 61 Knowledge of China customs laws and regulations, Biological and chemical authorities’ requirements. Familiar with US and European regulations in above mentioned areas. 61 Experienced in logistics, import / export knowledge. 61 Project management experience. 61 Excellent interpersonal, presentation, listening and communication skills that will develop long term internal and external relationships at all levels. 61 Strong organizational and time management skills. 61 Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate outcomes. 61 Effective management by influence. 61 Ability to work in multi-cultural teams. 61 Willingness to travel.
