In this role, you will:
- Information and Digital Technologies Strategic Leadership: Establish a trusted relationship with key stakeholders and leaders in the segment, being a connected, influential player in the country and within Kimberly-Clark Regional IT. Understand and contribute to business strategic directions and goals, define an IT strategic plan aligned/embedded with business strategy. Ensure governance and alignment of business demand with supply, leveraging Kimberly-Clark IT portfolio of services. Communicate plan effectively and gain support from key stakeholders, including country leaders and IT Regional leaders. In partnership with China leadership, define strategy, roadmap for China technology, information, data, and digital technologies.
- Service Delivery: Develop a depth of understanding in country operational capabilities, IT service delivery, committed/delivered service levels in being accountable to assuring stable operations. Have depth of knowledge and understanding of cyber risks, Kimberly-Clark security posture, processes, and procedures. Be an active leader in the Regional IT leadership in providing the right security/privacy posture and ensure operational discipline in securing Kimberly-Clark consumers, customers, and employees. Provide visibility to stakeholders with ongoing communication and reporting, and ensure compliance to Kimberly-Clark IT security and controls framework. Assure secure, compliant, stable operations in technologies enabling China businesses.
- Lead Business Change Initiatives: Develop and agree on an ongoing project portfolio to achieve the China IT strategy, taking account of segment goals, corporate priorities, technology/data opportunities, and cost pressures. Lead, jointly with peers in business functions, the delivery of business change initiatives, ensuring the timely and on-budget delivery of IT components. Provide prioritization guidelines and lead a focused agenda. With adept understanding of business value, drive clear prioritization of value-driving initiatives of business impact.
- People Management and Operating Model: Develop an understanding of the Kimberly-Clark IT operating model with internal employees and external third-party resources and processes. Suggest operating model improvements and process improvements. Play an active leadership role in enabling Kimberly-Clark’s Regional IT to be a high-performing, agile, focused team. Engage and motivate employees/resources with effective communication. Bring in thought leadership with the development of methodologies and tools to enhance performance.
- Finance and Value Management: Define a portfolio of investment initiatives inclusive of value proposition, and prioritize investment portfolio for the country; Partner in prioritizing across Kimberly-Clark IT; Enforce a value-centric conversation; Build metrics that focus on outcomes rather than a list and number of projects delivered; With understanding of IT Business Management and allocation approaches, provide transparency of IT costs to country leadership; Bring in relentless leadership in cost reduction and total cost management – generate headroom towards fueling investments to drive Kimberly-Clark growth enablement.
- Capabilities and Digital Leader: With a strong focus on consumer obsession and deep expertise in data, algorithms, UX, APIs, platforms, RPA & Smart automation, BOTS, ecosystems, AR, play a key change partner to China by (1) Contributing/enabling digital – physical channel shifts, (2) Bringing superior Consumer and Customer experience, (3) Enabling data-driven/algorithm-enabled organization, (4) Driving frictionless journeys and automation, (5) Utilizing digital metrics that focus on outcomes of initiatives rather than checking the box on projects delivered, and (6) Enabling right focus through a value-centric approach.
- Ecommerce Sales and Marketing: Emphasize the need for the candidate to be strong in ecommerce sales and marketing in the China ecosystem. This includes understanding the unique dynamics of the Chinese market, leveraging digital platforms for sales growth, and driving innovative marketing strategies.
- SAP ERP Upgrade/Migration: Experience with SAP ERP upgrade/migration is essential as this is a key focus for China. The candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing ERP projects, ensuring seamless transitions, and optimizing system performance.

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree is recommended with a minimum of 8-10 years of IT experience or relevant functional business and process expertise appropriate to the role. ITS experience might be waived if Business experience is strong and the person can demonstrate a strong knowledge of IT.
- Experience in building and managing IT capability design, development, and support in the China technology ecosystem (JBAT) will be a key enabler.
- Experience working in a Global MNC with a presence in China, managing a matrixed structure will be a plus.
- Experience building and communicating future business plans and capabilities along with being able to provide insights into the technologies required for delivery.
- Experience working with local technology partners, large and small startups will be an advantage.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures, and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the Kimberly-Clark organization including suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Prior Consulting experience in IT or strategy is preferred.
- Project or program management experience in dealing with medium or large projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience.
- Financial acumen to support business case creation and measurement.
